PROCTOR - People in Proctor are taking steps towards making their new museum a reality.

On Thursday, community members met with museum professionals to start talking about themes, plans and designs for their first permanent history museum.

The purpose of the gathering was to start getting ideas onto paper and into motion.

"Our role is really to take all the different voices that we hear and translate them into one main storyline that we can use to tell Proctor's history," Erin Anderson from Museology Exhibits and Programs said.

The museum should be open for the public to walk through this summer, but full exhibits are not expected to be completed for a couple more years.
