DULUTH - A British scientist and adventurer walking across America to raise money and awareness of hospice care is in the Northland.

Colin Skinner was in the Ironwood area on Thursday, and he is slated to reach Duluth on Monday.

He is scheduled to talk to the hospice and palliative care staff at St. Mary's, and visit the Solvay Hospice House.

Skinner is walking from New York to North Dakota this year, with plans to walk from North Dakota to California next year.
