Doyle says Wisconsin's fiscal health is okay
MADISON (WPR) Gov. Jim Doyle says the fiscal state of the state is in "okay" shape.
Conservatives have offered dire predictions for future state budgets in Wisconsin, but Gov. Doyle says compared to the financial situations in many other states, Wisconsin's current budget is doing ok.
Doyle says there are still going to have to be some cuts during the rest of the current budget. He gives his formal State of the State Message Tuesday night.
Besides talking about state finances, Doyle says he will outline his goals during his last year in office. Doyle says he plans to discuss the Milwaukee Public Schools, green energy jobs and support for Wisconsin manufacturers, among other topics.
