Former Itasca Co. Sheriff's Deputy jailed

AITKIN - A former deputy from Itasca County Sheriff's Deputy sits in jail in Aitkin County after a judge sentenced him Tuesday.

David Allen Sigfrinius faced four charges of criminal sexual conduct, among other things, from incidents in 2008.  That's when prosecutors say he molested a juvenile.

In a plea deal, the Sigfrinius admitted to furnishing alcohol to a minor and criminal sexual conduct, but the judge only convicted him of the alcohol charge, as long as he adheres to his sentence.  That includes 90 days in jail, two years probation, and registering as a predatory offender.
