Ice fishing shelter removal deadlines near

DULUTH - If the recent warm, rainy weather hasn't already spurred you to get your fish house off local lakes – the deadline is near.

By law, ice fishing shelters must be removed by Sunday for areas in Wisconsin north of Highway 64.

For areas of Minnesota north of highways 2 and 200, the deadline is Monday.

After the deadlines, you can still put up fish houses on the ice, but you can't leave them unattended overnight.

And, of course, with the recent weather, be sure the ice conditions are safe before venturing out.
