DULUTH, Minn. -

The 25th annual chili cook off took place earlier today at the DECC (Duluth Entertainment Convention Center) sponsored by Head of the Lakes United Way.

It was full of folks waiting for a bowl of that chili! This year there were 32 types of chili with all different levels of spices, Little Angies having one of the hotter kicks.

“We have chicken, black beans, corn, Dos Equis beer, and then we have habaneros and ghost peppers,” said Alex Niemi, Sous-Chef of Little Angies.

One goal united way has been aiming for is being a green event. Since 2006, over 12,000 pounds of waste including bowls spoons and napkins have been recycled!
