DULUTH, Minn. -

A special announcement was made today for Lake Superior College and the University of Wisconsin–Superior.

The two schools announced a new partnership which will simplify the transfer process between the two facilities.

The partnership, called superior connection, will allow students to transfer within dedicated online majors.

The schools plan to work together and offer further transfer agreements in additional majors in the future.

Dr. Patrick Johns, the President of Lake Superior College, said "Collaboration is necessary these days, resources get slimmer so working together produces positive results."

Officials also signed a reverse transfer agreement, which will allow students to earn an associate degree by combining their credits earned at both schools.
