DULUTH, Minn. -

Residents on Jefferson Street were out and having fun today at the annual Jefferson Street Block Party.

It’s a family friendly celebration that brings the neighbors of Jefferson street together. The party features live music, Barbecue, and activities for people of all ages.

"It really helps a neighborhood stay strong and want to be safe and help each other out, it really gets everyone out here, and neighbors that have moved away come back so we get to reunite with people," said Brooke Tapp, a resident on Jefferson Street.

Lutheran Social Services was also at the event to share information about the Center for Chancing Lives, which broke ground recently in Duluth.
