DULUTH, Minn. -

St. Scholastica Students, Faculty, and Staff joined local non-profit organizations and other agencies to spend their day giving back to the community for the College’s annual Community Day Event.

Students took part in activities like reading to elementary school kids, picking up trash, and working with habitat for humanity. Classes were canceled so that students could spend the day volunteering, without worrying about missing out on their education.

"Just to give back to our community, we think it’s really important to do that," said Katharine Lage, a Student of St. Scholastica.

St. Scholastica holds community day events every October and February.
