DULUTH, Minn. -

In Duluth, the Veterans of Foreign Wars hosted an observance for the 15th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks.

The event paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the attacks and honored members of the Duluth police and fire departments and the county search and rescue squad.

Tickets were sold to the program to help raise money for the Duluth VFW.

“We are remembering those victims and thanking our first responders and saying 'God bless America, we are the greatest,” said master of ceremonies Dwight Nelson.

VFW members say they would like to make the 9-11 observance an annual event.
