DULUTH, Minn. -

Storms in July devastated Hartley Park in Duluth.

Thousands of trees were lost and trails were damaged.

At the nature center the yurt was destroyed and teaching areas were also ruined.

The last few months have been hard for the nature center as summer programs had to be cancelled.

Today, officials are celebrating the fact that 3,500 trees were recently planted in the park.

Hartley Park Nature Center Executive Director, Tom O'Rourke, says preschool programs are in full swing and registration is open for all programs.
