DULUTH, Minn. -

More than two dozen organizations and businesses in the Lincoln Park Neighborhood held an Open House to showcase the exciting opportunities they have going on in that area.

Activity sites were scattered throughout the neighborhood to show off some of the newer and older businesses, and the potential that the neighborhood has for more development. Activities included live music, ice cream, and free apple cider.

"There’s a lot of homemade or handmade products and businesses, and it’s important for people to understand to support your small business, so that it can be local," said Dawn Moen, store manager of Frost River.

The event also included a panel discussion for people interested in opening a business in Lincoln Park.
