DULUTH, Minn. -

Staying safe from potential danger is important for all of us and today hundreds gathered in Duluth to learn different ways to be safe in all types of situations.

The Northern Regional Safety Day is held each year and it features vendors and keynote speakers who all promote one goal, staying safe in all circumstances.

The conference focuses on three main topics, safety at work, safety while you're driving and safety at home.

On an average day, around 100 people in Minnesota will have a serious injury at work.

Showing just how important it is to think about safety.

Paul Aasen, the President of Minnesota Safety Council, said "Even with all of the work that has been done there is still that chance, take a step back."

Attendees also learned about active shooter situations, multi–generation workplaces and incident response.
