DULUTH, Minn. -

The 18th Annual ARTcetera Gala, hosted by the Miller Dwan Foundation, was held tonight at the DECC. FOX 21's Andrew Kirov was there.

Over the last eighteen years, the ARTcetera Gala has raised over $3 million for the Miller Dwan Foundation. This year, they hope to add $150,000 to that total.

A gourmet dinner, silent auction, and live auction allowed members of the community to contribute to the fund. Attendees could bid on local art work, vacation packages, and even a 2017 Ford Escape.

Proceeds from this year's event will be given to the Healing Space Campaign, which aims to improve the condition of the Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit of the Essentia Health Campus.

"This is an opportunity for people, if they have a passion for health care, if they have a passion for wanting to see a transformation in mental health care, this is a way for them to help," says Miller Dwan Foundation President Traci Marciniak.

The Miller Dwan Foundation is dedicated to improving the health of people across the region. Through the ARTcetera Gala and other fundraising efforts, they have raised more than $32 million to date.
