DULUTH, Minn. -

A Duluth woman has completed a major running challenge, running most of the length of the Superior Hiking Trail in just about a week's time.

Shawna Weaver works as a instructor at the College of St. Scholastica, but in her summer off she dedicated her time to training to run the entire 310 mile trail.

The weather didn't cooperate, due to being rained out she ran 275 miles, more than the length of a marathon a day, for nine days straight.

"It was beautiful, buggy from Two Harbors to Duluth," said Weaver. "I got a lot of blisters but I feel really really good."

Sunday at Bent Paddle Brewery, Weaver shared her stories to friends and family as part of a event called "Common Waters" discussing the beauty of the outdoors and the importance of clean water in the environment.
