DULUTH, Minn. -

UV Splash by Color Dash 5K will still be coming to the Duluth area this fall.

Due to concerns from the community, Color Dash decided to relocate the event from the Sunrise Memorial Park to Barker's Island in Superior.

Owners of the Color Dash told FOX 21, "We are so grateful for the opportunity and generosity of Sunrise Memorial Park in offering Circle of Hope and UV Splash by Color Dash the ability to host the after-dark fun run 5K on their 80 acres of land. However, after several months of social media outcry, we decided that it would be best to move the location."

To accommodate the location change, Color Dash has also decided to move the even date to October 22nd, which was not accepted by Circle of Hope, who decided to cancel their participation in the 5K event.

Despite Circle of Hope not participating, the UV Splash by Color Dash will still be giving Circle of Hope 50% of the profits from the current registrations for the event.

The remaining profits will be divided to The Hormel Institute of cancer research, as well as any other cancer care organizations that would like to get involved.

Color Dash will now be holding an event, Every Color Matters, that supports all 'colors' of cancer and invites the community and surrounding area to Dash in honor of the color ribbon that has affected or impacted their lives or those around them.

This will be away to celebrate and honor those who have fought any and all forms of cancer.

The event has moved to Barkers Island in Superior, Wisconsin on October 22nd.
