DULUTH, Minn. -

Duluth celebrated the completion of part of a new connecting trail.

The new Campus Connector Trail joins UMD and the College of St. Scholastica.

The new path gives those who bike or walk a safe space to enjoy their travels along College Street between Junction and Kenwood Avenues.

"This project really shows that when we invest in bicycle and pedestrian projects and when we do it right and we do it well, it's good for everybody," said Duluth City Councilor Joel Sipress.

Riders participated in a bike parade and enjoyed decorating their bikes for the ride.

In the future, the trail will connect to Rice Lake and the Lakewalk.
