DULUTH, Minn. -

The Greater Minnesota Transit Development Plan has been released and the Duluth Transit Authority will play a big role in its development.

The state plan takes a long range look at public transit needs in the Greater Minnesota region.

Ideas hope to better connect transit systems throughout the state.

"We've been working on this for a couple of years now and so we've had input into it, so we think that the final product will be pretty much what we are looking for," said Dennis Jensen, Duluth Transit Authority General Manager.

The plan looks at transit needs for the next twenty years and how it could better serve customers in rural areas.
