DULUTH, Minn. -

On Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00a.m., The Blind Pig will be opening for business in the old city hall at 132 E Superior Street in the Historic Arts & Theatre District of downtown Duluth.

Formerly Tycoons, this will no longer be a supper club, but rather a gastro pub and ale house featuring locally raised Berkshire pork and Red Angus/Hereford beef.

All bread and buns will be made from scratch on location, and creative fusion udon noodle dishes will be a key part of the fare.

Fitger's Brewhouse beer will continue to be poured form the taps, as well as an exclusive beer crafted by head brewer Frank Kaszuba. "The Blind Pig Coconut Stout" will be offered exclusively at The Blind Pig.

The Rathskeller will continue to serve, and will have an exclusive line up of cocktails. Rathskeller mixologist, Cade Grover, has concocted a line-up of exclusive cocktails, including a beautiful Lake Superior Margarita.

The old Midwestern term for a speakeasy was a blind pig, thus the genesis of the new name.

Beyond all the great local-centric food and drink options, The Blind Pig will have more live music sessions Thursday through Sunday, including Sunday Night Blues. All in all, The Blind Pig will feature a high energy and casual environment for patrons.

No changes are currently planned for the highly popular, Rathskellar other than the inclusion of all new drinks and beer.

Tycoons will remain open until October 15th, and the Rathskellar will remain open during the time that Tycoons is closed for the switch-over.
