Duluth, Minn -

As Haiti continues their cleanup efforts, the aftermath of the storm leaves Haitian born Duluthians torn, not knowing whether their families are ok.

Duluth based boxer Al Sands says he's blessed to be in America, but he wants to try and make it back to help however he can.

"Out of the millions of children that need to be adopted i was chosen, my adopted mother had saved my life, saved me from having to go through things like that, but it's definitely important to me to make that trip back help out who ever i can, it's my home country." says Sands

Sands says he was adopted when he was 4 months old and he hasn't been able to go back since, but he's planning a trip as soon as he can.
