MINNEAPOLIS -

During today's press conference after Danny Heinrich's appearance in federal court on child pornography charges.

Heinrich was charged with one count of receiving child pornography. This charge holds a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

U.S. Attorney, Andy Luger, stated the parts of the plea agreement that led to the remains of Jacob Wetterling and a confession from Heinrich.

“Any agreement reached or considered was done with full support of Patty and Jerry Wetterling," Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner said at Tuesday's press conference.

Part One indicated that Heinrich needed to disclose where to find Jacob Wetterling's body, as well as a full detailed confession.

This led to Part Two, which required him to plead guilty to his charges of pornography and to confess in open court just what he did to Wetterling and Jared Scheierl, who was sexually assaulted when he was 12-years-old in Cold Spring, Minnesota.

The agreement was followed as he confessed in court to the kidnapping, sexual assault, and murder of Jacob Wetterling.

The plea deal, also means that Heinrich will not be charged for the murder of Wetterling.

Heinrich's sentencing is set for November 21, 2016 at 10 a.m.
