DULUTH, Minn. -

City officials have kicked off the Imagine Duluth 2035 comprehensive plan.

The city has received 4,000 surveys from the community about what they would like to see for Duluth in the future.

"It's important to me as mayor because this is the document that guides the principals of who we are moving forward," said Mayor Larson.

The last time the city of Duluth created a plan for the future like this was in 2006.

The city will next create a task force to work on how to implement some of the plan's goals.
