DULUTH, Minn. -

It is almost Labor Day weekend and Americans everywhere are getting ready for a little getaway.

According to AAA, 86 percent of the 35.5 million Americans expected to travel for Labor Day are filling up their gas tanks and leaving town.

Many Americans are driving to take advantage of low gas prices that are just shy of a dollar less per–gallon than what they paid last year.

Payton Sullivan, the Manager at London Road Car Wash, said "We staff up to meet customer demands. We expect good things and with lower prices we should see an increase at the pumps."

Officials urge travelers to not drink and drive and to wear your seatbelt.
