MOOSE LAKE, Minn. -

Members of Senator Al Franken's staff stopped in Moose Lake to listen to the needs of the community.

Area officials met with Senator Franken's staff to discuss roads, utilities, and broadband Internet.

Leaders said the discussion is useful one but it is very difficult to find all the solutions for in a rural economy.

"Not only do we have these needs right now, but the cost of infrastructure is constantly increasing and the longer that we wait, the greater the need becomes and the more expensive it becomes," said Moose Lake city administrator Tim Peterson.

City leaders also wanted the senator to know that they want more federal dollars to come to the state level to help out their aging infrastructure.
