DULUTH, Minn. -

The Duluth Curling Club has hosted national and world championships and now they will receive some upgrades.

The club, located in the DECC, will install a new $600,000 floor.

Today, 450 cubic yards of concrete was poured on top of ten miles of new cooling tubing.

They hope this will continue to bring in people from around the world to their club.

Linda Christensen, the Duluth Curling Club President, said "We were able to work together with the DECC and guarantee we will have ice. We can help support our curlers and future Olympians and champions that are members of our club."

The Duluth Curling Club contributed $400,000 of the total cost for improvements and the DECC paid the remaining portion.
