DULUTH, Minn. -

A traveling Marine Debris Exhibit made a stop at University of Wisconsin Superior.

The Exhibit featured trash picked up from Wisconsin point in just one day. The goal is to encourage individuals to take action and stop trash from getting in the lake.

"Use less plastic. Use less disposable plastic, that really helps, make sure plastic goes in the recycling bin, and if you see it on the ground, pick it up," said Deanna Erickson, the Education Coordinator for the Lake Superior National Estuary Research Reserve.

The Exhibit is in part of celebrating national Estuaries Week
