DULUTH, Minn. -

Community members enjoyed food and fun at the UMD Food and Farm Festival Sunday.

It’s an event held to celebrate and highlight the work the UMD students put in to the farm and learning about sustainability.

The event featured a 5K run through the farm, a farmer’s market, and a meal with farm produce made by UMD’s head chef.

"Figuring out sustainable methods of producing food where we humans can get what we need while we don't diminish the planet, is really key," said Randel Hanson, the director of the Land Lab.
