ADA, Minn. (AP) Authorities in Norman County say the Wild Rice River is rising fast, forcing the closure of several roads.
The Minnesota river rose 3 to 4 feet Friday night into Saturday. The National Weather Service reported it had measured 18.33 feet at 3 p.m. Saturday. Flood stage is 20 feet.
County emergency manager Kevin Ruud says a handful of roads have been closed, but predicted a total of 40 to 50 would be shuttered before the river recedes.
