DULUTH - The annual Great Lakes Caucus has begun.
Lawmakers from eight Great Lakes states and two Canadian provinces are in attendance.
They will be discussing issues that have come up on the lakes within the past year.
Many Minnesota lawmakers are looking forward to seeing how Duluth has recovered after the flood one year ago.
"We are all interconnected whether your on the range, whether we're in Duluth, whether in south St. Paul, whether we are on the farms of southern Minnesota," Rep. Rick Hansen (DFL - South St. Paul) explained. "We're all together in this and it works out when we work together."
Topics discussed include aquatic invasive species, low water levels, and freight transportation.
