DULUTH - Applications are now being accepted to serve on a citizens' Lakewalk Task Force, which the Duluth City Council approved during Monday's council meeting.
"Rabies is a virus that's spread through saliva in
animal bites or scratches into mucus membranes. So it has to go from the saliva
of the affected animal through a wound or the mucus membrane of a non–infected
animal," Dr. Amanda Bruce, Veterinarian at PetCare of Duluth explained.
