DULUTH - Torn teddy bears and damaged stuffed animals found their way to the zoo Sunday. In honor of Mother's Day kids brought their stuffed animals to the Lake Superior Zoo for a vet check. It was a chance to give moms and their kids quality time together. "Since this is such a family friendly event and so family oriented we can feel especially close to this particular day because we are kind of like a big family so it's really nice. I am seeing all these happy families coming through the door and it makes me really happy to see that," said Anya Raussom, who works at the Lake Superior Zoo. The animals were bandaged and vaccinated before they received a certificate of good health.
