SUPERIOR - Firefighters battled cold temperatures freezing their equipment as they fought a mobile home fire Monday. They were called out at 3:20 p.m. to 3132 E 5th St.When crews arrived, heavy smoke was coming from the home.Fire officials tell us two people lived there and they got out safely.Neighbors say they knew something was wrong when they smelled something odd."We come outside, there's smoke everywhere, flames. Firemen are getting water from over here on the corner. We're hoping right now she isn't home. It's unfortunate the trailer is gone," said Valerie Johnsen, who lives nearby.Officials say they think the fire started when the homeowners tried to thaw frozen pipes with a heat gun.No one was injured.
