DULUTH - A Duluth teacher was given a big honor Wednesday. East High School's Greg Jones was given the Goldfine Gold Star Teacher Award and a $5,000 prize. Presenters describe him as a gifted teacher who makes teaching look effortless and easy. "It means that three other people probably should be standing here instead of me. But it just means I'm among other fine teachers and I really appreciate being identified as one of those fine teachers," Jones said. Jones has been with the district for 13 years and teaches English and reading.
