DULUTH - Berhanu Girma may have taken the gold in the Men's Marathon but another finisher also brought home the gold. Chris Chaffee, a Grandma's Marathon finisher, proposed to his girlfriend Amy Kuzma on Saturday. The romantic runner carried the ring down the North Shore with him. "It was the whole time I had it wrapped up in a little zip lock, it had some cotton around it,” said Chaffee. “It's all sweaty, just kidding,” said Kuzma. “I had it right in my front pocket," said Chaffee.
