WACONIA, MN
WACONIA - Governor Mark Dayton dropped a line in the waters of Waconia early Saturday to celebrate the end to a hectic session and the 2012 Minnesota Fishing Opener. Locals say it's a big deal to reel in the state's top official for the day. "It's quite a feather in our hat for Waconia. It is. Its just special. A lot of people have never even been to waconia, said resident Donna Frantz. This year Governor Dayton failed to bait a walleye but did manage to catch a morning sunfish on a leech while out fishing from midnight to two am.
