Duluth, MN
DULUTH - The public now has the chance to weigh in on plans for downtown Duluth's new multi-million dollar transportation hub. The Duluth Transit Authority is reaching out for ideas, concerns and overall feedback of preliminary plans for the transit center. DTA officials say feedback so far has been mostly positive. "All of our main-line buses and our university buses will connect right here and folks can do that in the comfort in the transit center rather than standing in the snow," said Jim Heilig with the Duluth Transit Authority. The DTA expects to start demolishing the Wells Fargo parking ramp on Michigan Street this summer. Construction will begin next spring. The new transportation center will be completed by late 2013 or early 2014.
