SUPERIOR - If you're not stopping for pedestrians in Superior you could find yourself facing a hefty fine. Superior Police are increasing enforcement of vehicles not stopping for pedestrians after getting a lot of complaints. Officials say they've assigned officers to watch corners where a lot of pedestrians are and will ticket drivers who do not stop for them at a crosswalk. They're even using their own officers to pose as pedestrians. If you don't stop for someone at an intersection without traffic signals you're looking at a $326.50 fine and four demerit points on your license. Superior Police say they want drivers to be ware they're on the lookout for these violations and will issue citations.
