DULUTH, Minn. -

The honor of being the highest ranked team on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus still belongs to Jim Boos' volleyball team who improved to 13–0 with three wins last week.

UMD is still No. 2 in the AVCA Div. II rankings, trailing only Concordia-St. Paul.  The Bulldogs and Golden Bears renew acquaintances Friday.  UMD and Concordia, two of the seven Northern Sun Conference teams ranked in the top 11 this week.

The Bulldogs win over Winona State Saturday Was Boos' 400th in charge of the program.  Boos set UMD's win record with his 310th victory in 2013 and says reaching this milestone is a testament to the program.

"Honestly, it's an honor to have worked with so many great kids and so many great people along the way," said Boos.  "It means I've been here a long time, so you start to feel a little old, looking back to when it all started to where you're at now.  Most importantly it means I've been a part of something that's pretty cool here.  This program has done a lot in the time I've been here and I'm proud of what we've created."

Also, sophomore Erin Schnindler was named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week while freshman Emily Torve was top Setter.
