Who says you can't go back to school?  Tuesday, the University of Minnesota Golden Gopher hockey program announced former U of M players Corey Millen and Ben Gordon joined the coaching staff.

Millen, from Cloquet, spent threee seasons with the Wilderness, winning the North American Hockey League's Robertson Cup in 2015.  Millen resigned after the Wilderness were eliminated by Fairbanks in the division finals.

Gordon, an International Falls spent last season as an assistant coach with the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hocket League.  He spent the 2014–15 season as an assistant and interim head coach at the College of St. Scholastica.

The Northland is well represented on the Gophers' staff.  Head coach Don Lucia hails from Grand Rapids, while top assistant Mike Guentzel is from Coleraine.
