Wings Fly Past Wild

DETROIT (AP) _ Johan Franzen scored twice, and Henrik Zetterberg had a goal and two assists in the Detroit Red Wings' 5-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.

Tomas Holmstrom added a goal and an assist, and Drew Miller also scored for Detroit, which at least temporarily, moved into the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot. Jimmy Howard made 21 saves.

Andrew Ebbett scored for Minnesota, and Josh Harding stopped 25 shots.
