Beth Jett is an Anchor and Managing Editor for KQDS-TV / Fox 21 News. Beth is a seasoned broadcast journalist with nearly 15 years of award-winning experience. Her career has taken her from the small towns of the South to the growing cities of the Heartland and finally to the large metropolitan areas of the Upper Midwest. Over the years, Beth has covered stories of the empowered to the imprisoned...from wealth to welfare..and from victors to victims.
Beth began her career in Alabama, then moved to Kansas, and ended up in Minnesota. She's been a crime reporter, education reporter, and animal reporter. Among the most notable events she has covered is the chilling capture and confession of the BTK Serial Killer in Wichita, Kansas, in 2005.
Beth appeared on CNN and FOX News reporting on his actions behind bars after he spent 30 years trolling Wichita looking for victims. Beth's experience with such a high profile story prepared her for the next big story of her lifetime: the collapse of the 35W Bridge in Minneapolis. Beth covered that local and national tragedy from the day the Old Bridge fell to the day the New Bridge opened. Beth is an Emmy-nominated reporter with various awards from state and national journalism-based organizations. In addition to being an Anchor for FOX 21, Beth serves as General Assignment Reporter each weeknight at 9 o'clock. You're likely to see her at City Hall, the Police Department, on a Breaking News scene, or at an animal shelter anywhere in the Northland. And don't forget to look for her special segment every Friday night called "Animal Tales". Beth lives in Duluth with her precious "fur-baby" named Asher..a shelter dog who actually adopted her in November 2007.
