Nick LaFave has been anchoring and reporting for FOX 21 since we first hit the air on March 12th, 2007.  His work has won numerous awards from organizations including the Society of Professional Journalists, Minnesota Associated Press, Michigan Associated Press and Michigan Association of Broadcasters.  He’s also been nominated for a regional Emmy.  

Nick graduated from Northern Michigan University before beginning his career in Big Sky Country, working in both Missoula and Bozeman, Montana.  He then took off for Lansing, Michigan before traveling to the Twin Ports to help launch FOX 21 .

A native of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, LaFave is a life-long hockey fan and is active in the local referee’s association.  In his free time, he enjoys golfing… poorly.
