Clouds Return Tonight With Patchy Fog

Today we started off cloudy and then the sun finally broke through this afternoon! It brightened moods and warmed us up to near 60 degrees. Tonight the clouds will build back in due to the winds coming off of the lake. Overnight lows will be in the upper 40’s lakeside and near 40 degrees inland and on the Iron Range.

Tomorrow the sunshine will be abundant with only a few clouds in northwest Wisconsin. A breezy lake breeze will continue with highs lakeside near 62. Inland areas will rise into the mid 60’s with sunny skies. A few clouds will roll back in as we head into the evening hours, with overnight lows in the low to mid 40’s.

To kick the weekend off, a mix of sun and clouds on Saturday, with the gusty lake breeze continuing. This will keep lakeside areas cooler, near 63 degrees, while inland locations will be in the mid 60’s again. Mostly cloudy skies will dominate the evening with overnight lows in mid to upper 40’s.

Sunday some clouds will linger, but clearing will take place by the late afternoon. Temperatures will remain steady in the low to mid 60’s.

To start the work week off, it will be a bright one. Plentiful sunshine across the Northland on Monday with temperatures rising to the mid and upper 60’s! A lake breeze will continue and keep lakeside areas near 64 degrees.

Warm air really begins to pump into the Northland on Tuesday. It will be the warmest day of the week, with temperatures flirting with 70 degrees! A mix of sun and clouds, with increasing mugginess will make it feel like summer again! There is a slight chance of showers on Tuesday evening, with a low near 56 degrees.

Wednesday we have a low pressure moving into the warm and moist air in place, this makes for good ingredients for showers and storms throughout the day. Mostly cloudy skies and high temperatures will be in the low to mid 60’s.

Thursday the rain and storm chances continue on the backside of the low pressure system. Alongside of that, cooler air will be wrapping around and surging in from Canada. Temperatures on Thursday will be in the mid to upper 50’s with very windy conditions. Winds sustained out of the southwest at 10-20mph and gusts up to 40mph! So grab the rain jacket as you head out of the door on Thursday, as an umbrella will probably flip inside out! Overnight lows from this point on will be approaching and diving into the 30’s. After all… it is fall!
