DULUTH- On Wednesday you could eat some pie to help take a slice out of hunger.
Students from St. Scholastica and members of Coppertop church woke up early to start baking pumpkin pies.
All pies are sold in an effort to raise money for CHUM.
The pies are all made from cans of pie donated during the last year.
Each pie is $10 and goes for a great cause.
"They can buy more food with the money than I can, because they can get it at good rates. The cash for them we raised over $1,000 to help people who need help in our community. And it's very painless, because you get a really good pie to eat," said Dr. LeAnn House CSS music faculty member.
All the left over pies that do not sell will go to the food shelf to guests for Thanksgiving.
