Showers Overnight, Warm Tomorrow!

Today was sun splashed and comfortable as we were in the upper 40’s and low 50’s across the Northland. This afternoon those clouds started to increase and some of us have already experienced some scattered showers. This will continue to be the case as we head through the rest of the evening and into the overnight hours. On and off scattered showers with temperatures falling to the mid 30’s inland and near 40° lakeside.

Tomorrow the clouds will clear and the sun will come out from west to east as the warm front passes eastward. High temperatures will be flirting with 60° for most of us! It’s the warmest day of the week and I’m glad that it’s landing on the weekend again! We will have calm winds out of the west that will make for a comfortable day. Clouds will gradually increase as we head towards the evening and overnight. Low temperatures will drop to  near 43°.

Sunday we could see a chance for some scattered showers in the morning hours. That chance will diminish by 1pm and leave us with partly sunny skies. Winds will be picking up though as a low pressure is just off to our east. So we will be feeling a northeast breeze 10-15mph, with gusts up to 20mph. High temperatures will reach 52° and overnight lows will be near freezing.

As we start the work and school week off a high pressure system will be settling in temporarily. But it will give us abundant sunshine on Monday with temperatures in the upper 40’s. Lakeside towns will be a bit cooler than the rest as a lake breeze will be persistent. The evening will be mostly cloudy with overnight lows a bit warmer in the upper 30’s.

Tuesday those clouds aren’t going anywhere and the winds will be increasing. They will still be blowing off of the lake, but now, with gusts up to 25mph. High temperatures will be flirting with 50°. As we head into the evening hours, cloud cover remains and the chances for showers increase. Expect on and off showers through the overnight hours with temperatures in the low 40’s.

Wednesday the rain chances increase and cloudy skies remain. Winds will now shift to out of the west, but will continue to be breezy. High temperatures will again flirt with 50°.

Thursday will be the wettest day of the week, with on and off rain all throughout the day and night. Winds will be breezy still out of the west. High temperatures will be near 50°.

Friday the rain should come to an end but the clouds will continue to linger. High temperatures will be in the upper 40’s.

So enjoy this wonderfully warm weekend we have ahead, before the clouds and rain move into the Northland!
