No Charges Filed in Duluth Homicide Investigation
Strappe Released From Jail Wednesday Morning
The St. Louis County Attorney’s office has decided not to file charges against the man arrested in this weekend’s homicide in Duluth’s Central Hillside neighborhood.
Assistant St. Louis County Attorney Jon Holets said he will not press charges, and could give no further comments due to the open investigation.
James Strappe, 53, was taken into custody Saturday morning after Duluth Police found the body of Matthew Walker, 33.
Walker died from an apparent head injury.
The incident happened on the corner of 2nd Ave. West and 3rd St. in Duluth.
Police say the two men knew each other.
Strappe was released from the St. Louis County Jail Wednesday morning.
