Superior Police Make Robbery Arrest

Superior Police have made arrest in Champions Lounge armed robbery incident from January 14th.

On Thursday, January 22, 2015, the assigned Detective in this incident was able to develop new information on a possible suspect in the January 14, 2015 armed robbery of Champions Lounge.

The Detective received information from sources that a 43 year old man was responsible for the armed robbery.

The investigation lead to verifying the background information on the man and his whereabouts.

He was also found to have a Felony Warrant out for his arrest from Probation and Parole in Wisconsin for walking away from his assigned living quarters without permission.

He was eventually found to be residing in Duluth where he was taken into custody by members of the Duluth Police Dept. and the Lake Superior Violent Crimes Task Force.

A subsequent interview with the man was done and he confessed to committing the crime.

The weapon in the incident was found to be a look-alike BB gun.

None of the money was recovered from the incident.

He is being held in the St. Louis County Jail awaiting extradition proceedings from Douglas County to have him appear on the charge of Armed Robbery.
