Community members gathered Sunday, dressed as their favorite superheroes, to help a Duluth boy battling cancer.
In October, 7-year-old Dexter Ojeda was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma.
The disease is a kind of cancer that develops from the nerve cells.
Since Dexter’s diagnosis, his grandmother told us he has underwent chemotherapy, had his stem cells harvested, and traveled a lot between medical visits in Duluth and the Twin Cities.
“While all his medical cares are taken care of there just isn’t enough money to pay for his transportation to Minneapolis and the hotel stays and so forth for his family,” said Karen St. George, Dexter’s Grandmother.
If you would like to make a donation you can do so at Members Community Credit Union.
The account name at the credit union is “Team Dexter”.
