A Duluth Head Start classroom got a special visit from a state representative Monday.

Eric Simonson, DFL-Duluth, stopped by Piedmont Elementary School to get a first-hand look at the federally funded early childhood education program.

“It lets you see the importance of some of the investments you make. And early education is clearly a priority for many of us in the House,” explained DFL Rep. Eric Simonson.

Head Start also provides nutrition, health and parent-support services to low-income children and their families.
