A local brother and sister are receiving national attention for inventing a life-saving tool in Duluth.
The Discovery Channel came to the area Tuesday to film an episode on their water rescue innovation.
The device is called Arm-Loc and it’s used to aid in fire and ice rescues.
It is deployed on the arm of someone who has fallen through a hole or confined space in a building.
“Getting this National attention on the Discovery Channel is going to catapult our company and make it so that everyone can have the Arm-Loc. It’s not just for rescuers. Although, we are selling it to rescue squards all over the country.”
This project took a year and a half to launch.
The Arm-Loc costs $689.
